My Tanzania Journey – A Trip That Stayed With Me

Tanzania was one of those trips I’ll never forget. I’ve travelled to many places for shows, but something about this country felt different from the moment I landed.

🌞 The Warmth That Hits You First

The first thing I noticed was how warm and welcoming everyone was. People smiled at you for no reason, helped you without being asked, and made you feel like you belonged there—even though you were thousands of kilometres from home.

🥁 The Music, The Vibe, The Streets

As a musician, I’m always listening. In Tanzania, every street had a rhythm of its own—drums in the distance, local songs playing in shops, kids dancing on the roadside.
It reminded me that music doesn’t need language. It just needs feeling.

And trust me, Tanzania is full of feeling.

🎤 The Show Night

Performing for the Indian community in Tanzania was easily one of my favourite moments of the trip. Seeing people get emotional listening to Bollywood songs so far away from home… it hit differently.

They sang along, they danced, they cheered—it felt like we brought a piece of India to Africa that night.
And honestly, that connection is what makes performing worth it.

🌅 Memories That Stayed

When I wasn’t performing, I was exploring. A few things that really stayed with me:

  • The peaceful Indian Ocean sunsets

  • Trying Swahili food (and loving the spices!)

  • Learning “Karibu” — meaning you’re welcome

  • Meeting local musicians and jamming together

  • Hearing the African drums up close

Those moments reminded me why I chose music in the first place.

❤️ Tanzania Changed Me a Little

This trip taught me that music truly has no borders. You can be from Mumbai, performing in East Africa, and still feel right at home because a melody connects you to people instantly.

🚀 I Know I’ll Be Back

Tanzania gave me so much love and inspiration. I’m grateful for every person I met, every song I sang, and every memory I made.
And I can’t wait to go back and perform again.
